The B4 represents the culmination of Bassani’s research and development for the better part of forty years. This exhaust was designed strictly to make big, big power. How? Equal length headers. Stepped head pipes. A hidden inner collector. These are features you are simply not going to find on another exhaust. Daryl Bassani designed this exhaust to offer the most to owners of bikes making under 120 horsepower. Typically, bikes without a bump in compression, camshaft(s), or significant head-work (or some combination of the three) are going to make power under that threshold. By taking an honest assessment of your bike’s power, or the results of your last dyno run, you may find that selecting a B4 exhaust will make a marked difference in your bike’s performance as opposed to selecting ‘too much pipe’ for your bike.

The B4 system does not utilize as many diameter steps as the B1 system, and as such, promotes better exhaust velocity on most street engines. Daryl also spent time going over the importance of the collector in this system. Effectively acting as a ‘collector-within-a-collector’, Bassani has drawn on their research to help each cylinder most efficiently help its mate through exhaust scavenging. Utilizing the same principles used in carb venturi development, Daryl and his team are able to manipulate the velocity of exhaust gases to tweak every last shred of oomph from your motorcycle. The B4 system is the right choice for a lot of mild tuners.
